Adelina Pecchia was born in Italy and grew up in Fort William, Ontario, now Thunder Bay. She is very excited to be representing the home riding of her childhood and youth as the Conservative Candidate for Thunder Bay – Rainy River. She anticipates bringing back a sense of hope that the area has lost under the Liberals.

Adelina attended to post secondary education in Southern Ontario and has a BA in History and Religious Studies and a Masters Degree of Theological Studies. She is currently working on her Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation. An ordained Member of the Clergy she has worked as a pastor, associate, and worship leader. Throughout her lifetime Adelina has worked in many social conscious activities and positions in Canada, Europe and Africa. She has written for the Ethics Page with the London Free Press and had her own column “Sermon Sound Bytes” with Luther Seminary Press. She is a strong advocate for seniors, the marginalized and our most vulnerable citizens who face challenges towards well being. She believes her global experience will be of great benefit in her riding and for the city of Thunder Bay.

Adelina was a founding member for the Neighbourhood Watch Program in Thunder Bay and met her husband, Dennis Pringle, a Social Worker, when he interviewed her on his radio program, “Rock of the New Dawn”, on 94.3 FM Radio, in Thunder Bay. A singer song writer, both she and her husband have played with local music groups. “Thunder Bay is where I grew up. It is my hearth”, she says.  “Although I have traveled and worked in many parts of the world and across Canada when people ask me where I am from I say, “Thunder Bay”. “It is my home.”  ”I am from the land of the Sleeping Giant where in its shadow live the most resilient people in the world.” “As a Candidate I want to be an agent of change and renewal for the region.”

As a Candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada her goal is to make sure that the Thunder Bay, Fort Frances and Rainy River area is not excluded at the table when it comes to employment opportunities, training, economic revitalization and accessible health. Adelina strongly believes the values of compassion, fairness, and equity of the Conservative Party of Canada makes it the best party able to govern and lead Canada now and into a prosperous future.
